Hey everyone,

When I go shopping I'm always passing the Rituals shop. I've never taken a good look on the actual products they're selling. I mean the products are kinda similar to bodyshop products, at least that's what I thought. Rituals sells luxury home and body cosmetics which are inspired by authentic Eastern rituals and nature of course. They do not test on animals what is always a good thing and they test their products dermatologically.

I was always looking for a good moisturizer for my body during winter time. Last couple of months I used Bodyshop's bodycreams/bodybutters. The main reason was the delicious scent of the product not the moisturizing effect. So I was in for some new body products.

Finally, I found the right product to give me that moisture I need. Well actually I got it as a bday present, which I'm really thankful for! I'm talking about the Rituals Honey Touch body cream. It supposed to be a softening, smoothing & nourishing body cream that would help your skin find its optimal balance. And I think that's the perfect description for this buddy here! It makes my skin soooo softttt like silky softtt. Ahh I love it ♥. I wasn't too sure about the Indian rose scent though, because it's not really my thing. But I found out that the scent kinda changes when you apply it on your body, which is a good thing to me.

And the best part is, that it is just for €14,90 for the size of 200ml! Isn't that just perfect :)
So if you're still looking for a good bodycream, you should definitely check this one out!

Hey everyone,

It's official now that Rihanna is going to launch a perfume! It will be called 'Reb'l Fleur' which was inspired by her nickname Rebel Flower that her grandmother gave her. Rihanna wanted to create something special and delicious, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory. (PEOPLE magazine) So she ended up with ripe fruits, sumptuous florals and a musky mix of vanilla. Her parfume will be availabe into american department store on Jan 25th (some say in Feb). And as usual we just have to wait a little longer :(.

The holidays are coming up! I love Dec and all its holidays, festive X-mas decoration and of course the SALE :) It's great aside from the cold weather. Snow is fun for a couple of days but not if it turns into this slippery/dirty mud!

For the ones who celebrate X-mas it also means it's time for PRESENTS. To give and of course to receive. But what do you buy for them? Here's a list of 10 products that are budget friendly and I think are super cute to give/receive.

1) A giftset from the bodyshop! I love love bodyshop products and in this period of the year they sell a lot of giftsets which are great and not expensive at all. (If you compare it to its normal price) This one is just for €9,- ; $12.03 ; £7.64

2) Everything that keeps you warm this winter, is a good product :D! ^ Such as these earmuffs, hats, scarves and gloves. You can buy these at a lot of different (online) stores for different prizes and quality. These on the photo are from the Xenos for the prize €3,99 and up till €5,99! ($5,34 - $8,01; £3,39 - £5.09)

3) Yesss, parfum is also on this list. Most of the women just love to smell gooddd and you don't always have to buy a very expensive one. There are a lot of parfums on the market that are also budget friendly! And there are also a lot of parfum sets which are cheap too! Take for example the PLAYBOY parfums, which I adore. 8) Most of the girls also love lots of bling! Then jeweleries would be the best gift. The problem is that we've already got a lot and then I mean LOTS of them. But I think it's always nice to get some more :) The rings are in sale for €3,95; $5,29; £6,23 at the H&M.

9) I personally want my room to smell good all the time. Instead of using air fresheners, I like to use scented candles! I've heared many good reviews about the candles from Bath & BodyWorks, but unfortunately we don't have that shop over here and they don't ship internationally either.
:( You can also find these kind of candles in smaller sizes at the shops Xenos & Action. The prizes varies from apx. €2,50; $3.35; £2,12 and higher.

10) And last but not least cash or giftcards. It's the simplest way to get something for someone. Depending on your own budget you can put a small/big amount on it.

DIY: X-mas trees

Sorry for the lack of posts but I've been busy with studying and writing essays and all that stuff. Not to forget that I've to study HARDER because I'm going to London on December 16th and will be staying there till December 20th. Soo excited about that! :D

I've found a super cute DIY tutorial for you guys!

As you can see it has the shape of a X-mas tree! It's super cute and not hard at all.

For 2 trees you'll be needing:

A printer
(Off white) paper
Sate bamboo sticks/skewers
Glue stick
A pair of scissors
Ruler

- Print the strokes which you can find on this site; HERE ~ mouse over to see the link
- Cut the strokes while following the dotted line. You'll need 4 strokes per tree.
(You can also use your own patterned paper)
- The strokes must have two sides so glue one stroke with the houses on one stroke with the stripes.
Glue the first stroke on to the second one and continue this with the rest of the strokes.
Pin this long stroke on the skewer . Starting at the place of the arrow and dot. Look for the next dot and pin it also on the skewer. Go on until you're on the top of the skewer again.
Finally, cut out the apples and glue the front- and the backside to each other. Place this on the top and you're done! :)

I would love to try this but not on a cupcake but on something else... but what... :p

Finally I'm putting the red carpet pics of the AMA up! Everyone was looking beautiful that night, with his/her own style. The one who stood out the most for me was Taylor Swift! She has exchanged her pretty curls for straight hair and bangs. I also love her shimmery/sparkly studded dress. It looks very cute on her.

I think these three celebrities here below are the best dressed ones. :D

Miley Cyrus was wearing a super cute strapless minidress with a big bow and a very long train on the back.

Whitney Port was wearing a beautiful dress by Rafael Cennamo. It is a very flirty, one-shoulder and belted dress and the colors suits her very well.

These three musicians wore very interesting dresses!

Oh and don't you just love the Smith family. I do! Jaden Smith and Willow Smith are sooo talented.

Prevent dry skin this winter!

Now the weather is getting colder our skin becomes dry very easily. Some people have extremely dry skin and that may be because you are using a wrong product for your skin type. Elene Capo of NYC's Cowshed Spa has a few tips on how you can prevent dry skin from happening in the first place.

1. Don't flake on moisturizing products: Try creamy cleansers, serums, and daily moisturizers.

2. Hold the retinol: "Some women like to retinol as an antiaging cream, but in a lot of cases, it tends to make your skin sensitive and flaky," Elena explains

3. Hydrate from within: As always, drink plenty of water.

4. Oil up: Fish oil, evening primrose oil, and flaxseed oil can each help combat dryness.

5. What to avoid: To prevent irritation, stay away from artificially fragrant products and hot showers.

These days I've been rambling about this store that's going to be opening soon and that store too. Not to forget the ZARA online shop. And yessss the store Primark located in Hoofddorp (village in the NL) has sets its date on November 24th! This one will be even bigger than the one in Rotterdam. And it will be way more convenient for me to get there. It will only take me 25/30 min, if I'm correct... :D

Hey Everyone,

Wanna keep your skin clear and beautiful? You'll need to have a skin-care routine for that. Here are some tips & tricks for you!

1) Always remove your make-up before you go to bed. Use a cotton pad with special make-up remover. This can be a make-up remover with oil, lotion or milk. Put a milk face cleanser all over your face and after a few minutes you'll remove this with a tonic or lotion.

2) Put a tube/bottle of facewash in your shower/bathroom. So that every time you take a shower, you can cleanse your face too!

3) It's very important to exfoliate your face at least once a week. If you've got oily skin, you might do this 2 and maybe 3 times per week. Always use a facescrub, NOT a bodyscrub because that's way to harsh for your face! It might even damage your face...

4) Use a mask once per week. Just to relaxxx and it's good for your skin. There are masks for every skin type; as in hydrating masks for the dry skin and purifying masks for the oily skin.

5) And lost but not least, use a day- and night cream that suits your skin type. You've got a wide selection of the day- and night creams. Such as creams for the oily, dry, combination, sensitive and mature skin.

Of course it's not enough to only have a skin-care routine. It's important to eat healthy, get enough sleep (at least 8 hours a day!), drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen, cut out skin-damaging habits etc.

The news about Forever 21 was already exciting but I've got moreee! On November 4th ZARA will be opening their online shop!!! FINALLYYY... Not that we don't have enough ZARA stores but this will be way easier to shop and you'll get a better overview of the collection they have.
I can hardly find something in the stores and almost every time I come home empty handed. :( And you don't want to be in the ZARA if there's sale going on, because it's always a mess and the queues for the fitting rooms/cash registers are sooo long.

Lucky us that the online store will be opening in 10 days ! Can't waittt ♥

Hey Everyone,

You might already know this, because this news has been all over the beauty/fashion sites and even in some newspapers of The Netherlands. But in case you didn't, the american store `Forever 21´ will be opening it stores in The Netherlands too! Although we've to wait till 2012 (some say 2011), I´m still very excited!

I mean the store is just like H&M; it's very trendy and has fashions at the greatest value. What else can we ask for?! Well lower shipping costs ofcourse, but not anymore :).

^ It's soo cute, right?! I think that it will be one of my favorite shops! Just like H&M is but yeah EVERYONE is wearing H&M because it's affordable and for many other reasons.

Oh and the big flagshipstore @ the dam square is also opening soon! My little sis told me that you can actually see the outside of the building now! (Yes it was covered).

Long time no post! (I know) Sorry 'bout that, but my i-net wasn't working for 2/3 weeks or so. Which suckeddd! And I've been kinda busy with school and stuff. So forgive me ! (: I'll try to post more this month, but I can't promise anything.

OMG Gossip Girl Season 4 has started! I've watched the first three episodes and I loved it! Welcome backkk. It's so cool that they were actually in the city of LOVE haha. Funny that they had parts in it where they spoke French. I love listening to French but really learning that language was so difficult and complicated with all those rules... (and after six years my French is still bad lol)

The fashion from GG is ALWAYS gorgeous and inspiring :)!

But I was so stupid to put them back because I wasn't sure if I would get it or not. And then (ofcourse!) another girl picked them up and wanted to buy them. SHIT! yeah that's what I thought... Tomorrow I'm going back to that store and hopefully they still got it in my size! T_T

Decorating/Buying stuff for my room

Hey Everybody,

It's been a while since my last post! Sorry for that. But I thought I would let you guys know what's keeping me busy these days. Since I've moved into my bro's room, I'm redecorating and buying some extra stuff for it. I've found out that I love shopping for my room. All those cute pillows, candles, boxes, mirrors, paintings... ILOVEIT. I want it all xD! But yeah I can't cuz I'm not a billionaire ;).

Uni has started... I don't know what to think of it yet because my first 'real' lesson is on tuesday 7th. So we'll see about that.

Further, I've been checkin' out MTV series like Teen Mom and Jersey Shore. Yeah I watch all

those things ;d! And I'm so glad that I can actually watch the new episode online! Holland is always so slow with that! For example ANTM, we're like 2 episodes behind, compared to the US. That's crazy right?!

Couple days ago I bought some parfums because they were in sale! It was 50% off ! The store didn't got much in stock anymore (duh). That is a pity ;/. I'll put the pics of them up later on.

It has been really windy/rainy these days... Where is the sun? The summer is not ending yet but the weather has been like this for a week now ;/

Moving on to a nice blue, winged eyeliner look. Keep reading when you want to learn this look.

Start off with defining your brows. Do this with some eyebrow powder and a angled brush/ eyebrow pencil but keep it subtle. Don't darken them too much.

Then take some indigo blue eyeliner with a clean angled brush. First you'll make the outer corners by looking at the lower lashline and then use the brush to stamp the outer edge of the line first. Stamp it to look like the lower lashline continuing upwards. Slowly, drag the line to your eyelid. Make it thicker on the outer corner. Build the line up by making small strokes. This way you'll make fewer mistakes.

Wait for the line to dry. Use a blue eyeliner to line your lower and a black eyeliner on your upper lashline. Curl your lashes and coat them with your favorite mascara.

Et voilà, you're finished!

I know it has been a while since I've posted something on my blog... Sorry for that! But yeah you can't blame me xD it's vacation time! Nothing special has happened these past couple days though, in case you were wondering.

I thought it was about time I write a review about the Syoss hairproducts which I've been using for 2 month or so.

SYOSS Color Protect Shampoo & Conditioner review

Scent/Substance	The scent of the shampoo & conditioner is very sweet and smells like marzipan. It has a creamy white substance.
Packaging	As you can see on the pic above, the bottles are very big! It has 500 ml of product in it.
Promises	The products promise you to condition your colored hair and protect the color from fading. It should also give you shiny hair.
Price	The shampoo and conditioner are €5,- (€4,99) per bottle. But I bought them when they were in sale and paid €2,40 per bottle ;D.
My opinion	I loveeeeee the shampoo & conditioner so far! I think the smell is soooo good! ;d Too bad that the scent fades after one day. I can't tell if it really protect my hair color from fading, but my hair does look shinier after using these products. The price isn't too bad because you get a lot of product! Sorry that I sounded so sad yesterday... I was tired and the sunshine song by G.Ninja made me sad because it reminded me of the WC. ;/ (I know I sound stupid)
But yeah, yesterday I went to Primark and here's what I bought:

Everything was freakin' cheap. Oké not EVERYTHING because I saw a cardigan which was €14 or so while a H&M cardigan is like €9,95. And the quality is oké but what do you expect if you pay €3+ = $3.87+ / £2.53+ for a piece of clothing ;) I really liked the jewelry over there though!

We went to a sushi restaurant in Rotterdam afterwards and enjoyed the ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT deal. ;d

Hey Everyone,

Remember the beach hairstyles that I was talking 'bout. And that I promised the info about the way you create these hairstyles. Well here it is:

Choose your best beach hairstyle!

De French Braid

This hairstyle of Ivanka Trump is very chic and is perfect to wear to the beach.
The braiding of Ivanka requires some technique.

Make a middle part and make sure that your hair is tangle-free. Then you do a dutch braid on both sides. Don't take too big sections for your braid because you want it to look as refined as Ivanka's look. This way you've to braid your hair till the end and clip it at its place with some bobby pins. Finish up with spraying your hair with a hairspray which has a UV filter and you're ready for the beach!

Glamour Beachwaves

I understand that after a day at the beach, you want to wash your hair so badly. However, don't washing it in combination with braids can give you some GORGEOUS waves! Like the waves Nicole has in the pic above.

So part your hair into two sections and braid your hair. You've to leave them in for like a night or so if you want the waves to stay all day. Use a spray like Bumble and Bumble Surf spray before you release your braids for a even more beachy look. Then you gently take the braids out and comb through your hair with your fingers. Scrunch your hair to define some loose waves. To make the look more sophisticated you could use a shine spray. Too much hairspray can make your hair greasy so avoid that!

Chic Wetlook

The sun is disastrous for dyed hair. Especially when you have dark colored hair, you won't be happy if the sun lightens it up. To avoid this you can use a hair mask for dyed hair. These have a UV filter so the sun doesn't get the chance to lighten up your hair color.

Don't rinse the mask off if you want to go for a chic wetlook! Part your hair on the side and comb your hair through. Then put your hair in a low ponytail or tie it in a low bun. This way your hair will be protected from the sun and chlorine. (If you go swimming in a swimming pool)

Casual Bardot

The next morning after the beach your beachy waves have probably disappeared. Your hair has still a little bit texture which is the prefect base for a sexy and casual Bardot coupe. And the good part is, that you don't have to use any heat or tools.

To create this hairstyle, you've to brush the upper part of your hair to the back. Leave the hair at the front hanging loose. Grab the hair together that's just above your ears and your crown and push it forward. Pin it down with some bobby pins. For extra volume you can lightly backcomb your hair on the crown. That's how easy it is!

Hey Everyone,

Saturday me and two friends of mine went to Girlsfair! Girls Fair is a girls only exhibition where you can find everything in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. At the fair you would find stands of brands where you could buy (with discount) and try products. There were Make-up workshops en make-overs of Miss Sporty (make-up brand). The Hairstyling by Kinki Kappers was a very popular stand. And lots of stands sold vintage clothes.

Unfortunately, I didn't buy anything. I saw a few really cute things like a jewelry organiser and some vintage shoes, but they were kinda expensive... In my opinion it was a little disapointing, but fun nevertheless. There were also a Björn Borg and MET Jeans fashion show which I really liked! ♥ Artists like Susanna Kay, Alain Clark, Timor (So You Think You Can Dance) and much more performed @ the fair.

And Jim Bakkum (Idols)was the host.

I was soo soo excited about this day! And the school couldn't have picked a better day...(ahum sarcastic) It was 32 degrees! I had to change my clothes @ school and was indeed sweating my ass off @@. There were some embarrassing moments. They showed pics of us when we were like 13/14 years old! And some teachers didn't prepare their speeches, soo they were rambling about random stuff...

Soo what have I been up to these days...Nothing too exciting. I got my braces taken off today and I'm happy with my teeth! Finally I got rid off that thing. ;D And a lot of people think that it hurts when the orthodontis take your braces off, but I can say that it doesn't hurt at all! In some way I can't stop feeling my teeth with my tongue haha! ;d And for some reason I DO think my teeth are much longer...but that's crap obviously. ;P Now I can SMILE againn ;D

OMG It's almost there... The third movie of The Twilight Saga films series is coming out in theaters on June 30! I can't wait to see it ;D The Eclipse premiere was on June 25 (last friday) in LA. Here are some pics of the event!

Hey Everyone,

Do you remember the pics of the three graduation dresses, I saw online. Well I found out that the dresses weren't in stock and they would be available again at the end of July. Soo I was looking and shopping for my graduation dress the whole weekend including friday. Which was very frustrating because I couldn't seem to find a nice dress. But today I finally found one which I really like! (Thanks to my little sis) The only thing is that it's black whereas I wanted a dress in a bright colour. But yeah that's oké :')

Tomorrow I'll take a picture of it and put it up @ my blog. It's already 21.45 p.m here in The Netherlands and it's getting dark outside. The quality of the pic would be kinda bad if I did take the picture right now.

Yesterday I decided to give my cat a bath , which was a big struggle for both of us @@. Everyone knows that cats hate getting wet, but it was absolutely necessary. She was greasy and her white paws turned black. I had to hold her paws so she couldn't escape or scratch and now she probably hates me. ;/ At least she is clean now and she'll get over it eventually...;P

Today I had my last exam! FINALLY ;D I don't have a good feeling 'bout it though...;S
It was more difficult than the previous one. But yeah I did my best, maybe it is good enough. Enough about my exams ;).

I want to apologize for lack of posts these days... I've indeed graduated, but I've still got one exam left... It's not necessary but I want to get a higher rate for Economics. But that isn't the main reason for my lack of posts. I'm reading a book that's called: "Zwaar beproefd" written by Chantal Gastel and I'm kinda obsessed with finishing it. ;d

Saturday (June 19) the soccer game started @ 13.30 , NL vs Japan. And we wonnnn yay! Sneijder (nr. 10) scored in the 53rd minute of the game ;). Now we are the first team who has book their place in the Round of 16!

Me and my brother were at the Hi-Casting this morning! 'Hi' is a Dutch mobile-provider which has this promotion for its members. If you are a member you could upload a photo of yourself and the 50 participants with the most votes were invited for today's fotoshoot! My brother was one of the lucky 50 participants!

We arrived @ 9 o'clock in the morning and ate breakfast there.

After a quick bite of my croissant, my brother was send to make-up/styling. Finally he was ready for the shoot and it was soo cool to actually be there! After the shoot he could pick one of the photo's. All of the 50 participants has to collect votes again, so does my brother.

It's a conservative-liberal political party which I thought had the best ideas. The result is likely to be announced around midnight...

I got up @ 8:30 to get ready for church & stayed there till 12 o'clock.
The preach was about the Ten Commandments, to be precise the 8th one.
Which loud: You shall not steal. Everyone has stolen something in their life, I think...

Oh and remember the invito sandals I had to pick up from the store...I went to the store today and well they turned out to be not quite what I expected...They aren't that flattering on my feet, so I'll bring them back to the store tomorrow.

Folica.com is a online shop where you can buy almost everything for your hair like flat-, curling- & waver- irons etc. I wanted to buy an flat- & curling iron for so long but I thought/still think that the shipping costs are way too high T_T. It's $49.95 and in my case even $61.95 (package weighs more then 3 pounds)... Soo that's kinda crazy @@

Now the great thing is that my friend' parents are going to spend their holiday in NY and I can choose for the Standard shippping option (which is free! within the us) The only problem is that they will be there till July 15th and the delivery time takes 1-7 days. The package will arrive too late if it takes exactly 7 days to send/deliver the package. I don't know what to do...I've already send Folica an email about the exact delivery time to a certain place soo all I can do is wait...

Baptism service in the church

Today I went to the church where 10 brothers and sisters were baptized. That's a lot for a church like ours. It started @ 10:30 and I arrived too late (ofcourse...) At 14:00 or so, there was a lunch prepared for us. Which was delicious and the cupcakes & the cake was soooooooo cute.

They were made by a sister from church (: isn't that cute?

Hey Everyone,

I'm about to go outside right now and buy some SYOSS products which are in sale.

Soo I bought them yeahh! I'll use/try them for a month or so and then give you guys my review. My hairtexture is like straight but not perfectly straight. So it's not pin-straight like a lot of asians have.

Yesterday I used a blondspray to get my hair lighter then it usually is. 6 weeks ago I dyed it but you couldn't actually see a difference, unless the sun was shining on my hair. That's why I decided to use the blond spray because it says it will make your hair 1 to 2 shade lighter. And now I'm waiting to see some differences.

This is the blondspray I'm using and yes I know that you shouldn't use it on darkbrown-black hair but I don't really care. ;P

And I'm going to pick up my shoes @ the invito store. (Still didn't do it...)

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Hey everyone!

Today I went to the cinema with my friends to see the movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time! Haha I didn't watch the trailer before or whatsoever soo I had no idea what the film was about, but spending time with your friends is always good right?

Anyway the movie was great! I'm not really into action films, however this one was very good. I liked the little romance in the movie and the fact that things were unpredictable! Soo I defenitely recommend this movie to everyone! & if you've already watched it, tell me what you think about it! ;D
